OUR MISSION
It's our mission to register and activate all women to vote, especially those in underserved communities.
At Register Her, we know the more inclusive our democracy, the stronger it will be. We believe that representative government means just that. Women account for more than half the population, yet we are woefully underrepresented in federal, state, and local governments. Elected leaders should reflect their communities' experience, perspectives, and diversity. Equal representation will only happen once we register and activate the millions of eligible women not participating in the electoral process. We believe together we can build a better America.
OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLE
​Register Her promotes and creates women-centered and women-led voter registration efforts nationwide. Our guiding principle is to identify, partner with, and elevate women leaders within their communities to spearhead voter outreach and ensure eligible women, especially those from underserved communities, receive the resources, civic education, and support to exercise their right to vote successfully.
OUR APPROACH
We acknowledge that we must meet women where they are.
We seek to create a women-led voting ecosystem for women by hiring women who understand the challenges facing their communities to engage in relational organizing on school campuses, at community events, or in connection with social service agencies. Through our model, we partner these women leaders with organizations that have expertise and knowledge about local voting rules (and obstacles to voting) and/or deep relationships in their communities.
We are proud of our partnerships with organizations like Arizona Native Vote, North Carolina’s You Can Vote, Arizona Child and Family Resources, Detroit’s Starfish Agency, and more.
